Once again, IFS used the MIOGE show in Moscow to get a little closer to customers in Russia and its neighbouring states.

Vyacheslav Chumak, Regional Sales Manager for the Russia and FSU market, represented ContiTech for the third time at the Moscow International Oil & Gas Exhibition (MIOGE). “The trade show is more professional and more industry-focused every year,” he reports. The largest industry show in Russia provides experts with good opportunities to discuss the current and future goals and business scenarios within the oil and gas industry. “Above all, it was a good occasion to meet with local drilling companies at the IFS booth and find out more about the special features of the Russian market.”

Chumak and Ferdinand Pinter from ContiTech Rubber Industrial (CRI) in Szeged, Hungary were assisted by Andreas Stark from Technical Sales at Eddelbüttel + Schneider in Hamburg, Germany and the sales partner from Moscow.

For the first time, MIOGE was held this year in the modern Crocus Expo, where 652 exhibitors from 40 countries set up their booths.

“Trade shows such as MIOGE and NEFTEGAS have a significant role to play in our hose business,” declares Chumak. “Russia and the FSU market cover a vast territory. That makes it extremely hard work and time-consuming to visit all our customers between St. Petersburg and the island of Sakhalin regularly.” A trade show therefore offers a welcome forum for meeting with the industry’s key players and sharing experience and ideas with existing and potentially new customers.
