Dunlop Oil & Marine’s 43rd Technical Seminar

Celebrating over 60 Years of Service

June 2016 Dunlop Oil & Marine recently held its 43rd Technical Seminar, marking over 60 years of service in the Oil & Gas industry, across the globe.

The 2016 seminar was hosted at the nearby Forest Pines Hotel in North Lincolnshire, and the infinite manufacturing tour took place, as in previous years, at the plant in Grimsby, UK.

The Seminar is world renowned for its delivery of technical content and opportunity to network with other key players in the oil and gas industry, and is aimed predominately at those who are interested in the technical details of marine hoses and their operation.

This year was no different to any other with a staggering 80 delegates in attendance during the course of the two days. Representation included a presence from a number of major oil companies, marine terminal operators, suppliers and key contractors, who had travelled far and wide from all corners of the world.

Presentations covered subjects ranging from an overall introduction to Dunlop Oil & Marine and future industry trends, to the hose and system design capabilities and operational issues. Our delegates enjoy the opportunity to be able to openly discuss and share concerns and issues that they have and ask questions to our technical team, who are experts in their field.

The factory tour always attracts great interest and intrigue and some of our delegates commented “Overall an excellent seminar, really well organised. The factory tour was excellent – great network and the Dunlop team is very helpful and knowledgeable. Impressed!”

Kam Zandiyeh, General Manager, Dunlop Oil and Marine said: “I would like to thank all delegates for taking the time out from their busy schedules to attend this year’s seminar; we are privileged to attract such worldwide presence. I would like to extend a special thank you to our guest speaker Captain John Peacock, from PAR Hawaii for his presentation on the safe operation and maintenance of SPM’s.”
